In our ministry here at Reidland Christian we strive to  REACH:   

UPWARD… Worshiping in Truth      John 4:23

INWARD… Living in Truth     Galatians 2:20

OUTWARD… Teaching in Truth     Matthew 28:20

FORWARD… Serving in Truth     James 2:18

 

We strive to accomplish this through a our Purpose and Vision:

 

Our emblem symbolizes both our purpose and our vision as a Church family. Our purpose is to connect individuals with Jesus Christ. The point of the cross emphasizes that there needs to be a “point” in every person’s life when they place their faith in Christ.
The Symbol portrays the cross pointing to the waters of baptism signifying that the first thing a person does when placing their faith in Christ, is to be baptized into Christ.

The circles of the cross represent the strategy Jesus gave to the church in Acts 1:8. Jesus said that we were to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth.

The first circle represents the ministry that focuses on our Jerusalem, or those who are nearest to us. We call this Deeper Life. We begin right where we are by developing our spiritual muscles through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. We are also aware that there are always people among us who have not yet placed their faith in Christ. Therefore, we consistently give opportunities for people to respond to the gospel through all of our ministries.

The second circle represents the ministry that focuses on our Judea and Samaria. This ministry is about local outreach and is called Deeper Connections. We try to accomplish this circle of ministry by supporting these local ministries: Hope Unlimited, Murray Christian Fellowship, Ohio Valley Christian Camp, and Paducah Cooperative Ministry. We also serve in this type of ministry through church outreach events such as Vacation Bible School, Reidland Day, Wednesday Night Meal Ministry, along with some other smaller events. We are always striving for new ways to reach out to the community to show Christ in and through our actions.

The third circle represents our ministry to the uttermost parts of the earth. This is about church planting and other ministries that show Christ in the world missions. We call this Deeper Impact.  This circle of ministry is another way we strive to be used as God’s hands and feet on earth by enabling ministries like Christ Reaching Asia Mission Worldwide Inc., Marsha Thompson –A Missionary in Zimbabwe, Central India Mission, International Disaster Emergency Services, Pioneer Bible Translators, Memphis Inner City Ministry, and Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch.
